  1. What it is

An immersion brewer with a plunger. The coffee steeps in the chamber, then you press it slowly through a paper filter into the cup, and the result is a smooth cup with lower acidity. This one is compact and durable, and printed with our mark. It packs down small enough to live in a bag.

  2. Why we stock it

Our guide calls it a brewer that changes its mind with every recipe, and that is the reason it is on the shelf. Water temperature, steep time and the direction you press in all move the cup, so one bag can taste different on a Monday and a Friday. It is also made to be carried.

  3. Using it well

Weigh the water. The markings on the chamber are volume on a slope and are not accurate enough. Temperature is the dial most people never touch: if a coffee tastes sharp, drop the water a few degrees, and if it tastes flat and thin, raise it. It will not make crema, and it is not an espresso machine.

How to use it

04steps
  1. Rinse the filter

Seat a paper filter in the cap, rinse it with hot water and set the chamber on your mug.

  2. Coffee, then water

Put in 16 g of coffee ground medium-fine, then pour in 230 g of water at 90 °C quickly. Weigh the water.

  3. Stir and seat

At 0:10 stir three times and insert the plunger about 1 cm.

  4. Press slowly

At 1:30 press down over about 30 seconds, until it hisses. Stop there. Total time is 2:00.

Keep it

Rinse the parts after each press and let the seal air dry before it goes back together.

Pair it

  • Coffee ground medium-fine.
  • A scale, to weigh the water.

05questions
Upright or inverted?

Start upright: 16 g of coffee, 230 g of water at 90 °C, pressed at 1:30. Inverted (18 g, 220 g, 88 °C) holds the water in the chamber until you flip at 2:00, which suits a longer steep.

Does it make espresso?

No. The press is gentle and makes no crema. You get a smooth cup with lower acidity, or a concentrate: 20 g of coffee in 90 g of water, diluted to taste.

Can I travel with it?

That is what it is made for. It packs down small enough to live in a bag. Carry ground coffee in a sealed bag, or a hand grinder, and add hot water from wherever you are.

How do I clean it?

Rinse the parts after each press and let the seal air dry before it goes back together.

How long does delivery take?

Packed after you order and dispatched within 1–2 working days. Delivery usually takes 3–6 days across India, depending on where you are, and shipping is free.
